My inspiration for creating Changing Places came as I was handling the downsizing of my parents home with my three sisters. My background in nursing and geriatric social work has been a real plus in my work with older adults who are overwhelmed and stressed when faced with a move from their home of many years.
I've always been the "go to" person in my family, whether it be for organizing, moving or overall advice. Prior to co-founding Changing Places, I managed small business operations for many years. People tell me I have good people skills. Working with our senior clients is a great way for me to be of service to others.
Changing Places is fully insured and a member of the National Organization of Senior Move Managers (NASMM). We are experienced senior move managers, each of us holding the designation of Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist (CRTS). We have backgrounds in healthcare, social work and business and understand the emotional, physical and practical aspects of assisting seniors and their families through this often stressful process. We have extensive knowledge about the costs, quality and availability of various local community resources.
Our personal and professional goal is to make a difficult transition easy. We want our clients to feel secure and at ease in their new home starting from the first night. The best compliment for us is the one we receive most often: "We couldn't have done it without you!"
